Choose cleaning for the material and the problem
Describe whether the seats are cloth, leather or another material, and identify the affected surfaces. Shampoo or extraction should be agreed for suitable fabric and carpet; do not assume the same method is appropriate for every seat.
- Seats: fabric type, affected areas and visible marks.
- Carpets and mats: residue, winter salt, spills and stains.
- Previous treatment: mention cleaning products already applied.
- Delicate trim, electronics or existing damage near the area.
Winter salt stain removal
Describe crusty salt buildup or marks on car mats and carpets before booking. Winter salt is a separate cleaning-condition question in the existing quote flow. Cleaning cannot guarantee removal of every mark, and damaged fibres or permanent discolouration may remain.
How shampoo and stain-treatment extras are priced
The current seat and carpet shampoo or extraction add-on is C$60 for moderate work or C$90 for heavy work. Winter salt buildup is C$25 or C$50. These are extras to an interior or complete detail, not standalone appointment totals. When selected wet-cleaning treatments share a pass, the system charges the highest selected wet-cleaning extra once and identifies the included treatments. Review your actual quote, travel and HST before you accept.
Drying, access and conditions needing review
Ask about drying time and vehicle access when agreeing the appointment. Remove loose belongings and describe any child seats; removal, refitting and cleaning of a child seat are not assumed. Mould, unknown chemicals and other unsafe contamination need review before work can be accepted.

What should I include in a car upholstery cleaning request?
Tell us which fabric seats, carpet, mats or cargo lining need cleaning. Include the material, marks, spills, salt buildup and any cleaning already attempted. Suitable shampoo or extraction and targeted stain treatment can then be included in an interior or complete detailing quote.
Is car seat shampoo included in a standard interior detail?
Do not assume it is included. Seat and carpet shampoo or extraction is an itemized extra when selected, with the agreed surfaces and condition reflected in your quote.
Can you guarantee all carpet stains or odours will disappear?
No. Results depend on the substance, material, access, age of the mark and previous treatments. Explain both stains and odours before booking so the scope and limits can be agreed.
